  Credit Management Center

Watching out for potential credit identity theft or fraud is an important part of your overall protection. To identify costly errors and potential fraud, it's important for you to regularly review the information contained in your credit reports.

iDefend provides you with a powerful online Credit Management Center with all the tools, resources, and important information to help you protect, understand, and manage your credit.

Your personal Credit Management Center includes:

Credit Report Review & Correction
Find errors and potential credit fraud by regularly reviewing your Personal Credit File from all the major credit bureaus (TransUnion, Equifax, Experian and Innovis). We'll help you order and review your credit reports regularly, for free! In addition to catching signs of credit identity theft, you should also be looking for errors in your reports. It is widely estimated that as many as 70% of all consumer credit reports contain errors, and 25% of these may be so inaccurate that you may be rejected for a loan or even employment.

Credit Report Disputes
Fraudulent, erroneous, and outdated information reported in your credit file can have a significant negative impact on your credit score and your finances. If you discover such information, we'll show you how to leverage the federal law known as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) to correct or dispute inaccurate, outdated, or fraudulent information from your credit reports. Of course, your iDefend subscription provides full restoration assistance in the event of identity theft or fraud.

Credit Fraud Alerts
If you have reason to suspect that you are, or are about to be, a victim of fraud or identity theft, we'll give you the tools and guidance to place an initial fraud alert, or security statement, on your credit file for a period of 90 days in order to alert prospective credit grantors and attempt to keep thieves from opening new credit accounts in your name.

Credit Freezes
When needed, and where available, we'll provide you the information and help placing a credit freeze (also referred to as a security freeze) on your credit file can be a powerful tool to prevent potential creditors, insurers, and others with whom you do not have an existing account or business relationship from obtaining or accessing your credit file
