Using INVISUS Updater V2

This software has been designed to provide an update for any of the INVISUS programs (When available). INVISUS Updater V2 will look for updates everytime the machine is restarted, and at the specified intervals.

Once automatic updates have been setup, INVISUS Updater V2 does not need to be running for updates to occur.

To do manual updates, INVISUS Updater V2 has to be run and this can be done in several ways:-
  1. Using the standard Windows Start menu by clicking Start, Programs, INVISUS, INVISUS Updater V2.
  2. From the main INVISUS AntiVirus V2 scanner window, click the Update button or click Check for Updates on the File menu.

  • This screen shows the updates that have been done and ones that are in progress.

    To start an update select the Update button. Once started, INVISUS Updater V2 will download unprocessed update files, when available, and install them for the relevant installed INVISUS programs without user intervention.

    Exit Exits INVISUS Updater V2. Answer Yes at the prompt to confirm.

    Log menu
    Clear Clears all communication attempts currently logged.

    Options Menus
    Settings Opens the Settings screen.
    Language Select the language for the updater to be shown in.

    User Guide Opens the user guide in a browser for reference.
    INVISUS Home Page Opens the INVISUS home page in a browser.

  • Settings Screen



  • INVISUS Updater V2 allows the source of updates to be user specified; by default these are via an internet connection.
    To view and / or modify the INVISUS Updater V2 update source settings, click Settings on the Options menu.

    Press the Restore Default button to reset all the INVISUS Updater V2 settings to the values set when it was first installed.

    Internet updates requires you to enter a valid URL for the location of the update files. A username and/or password can be specified if required to access this location.

    In some cases it may be necessary or desirable to access the Internet through a proxy. If this is required select the Access through proxy check box and complete the fields under Proxy Settings.

    The proxy server location will need to be specified together with the proxy port. If authentication is required the proxy authentication check box should be selected and a valid username and password on the proxy server will need to be added.
